General information
Schengen visa issued to third-country nationals listed in Annex I to Regulation (EU) 2018/1806. This visa allows you to stay in the Schengen area for up to 90 days (in a 180-day period). You can be in Spain for tourism, business, family visits, medical treatment, studies, internships or volunteer activities that last less than 3 months. You can also visit the country for other non-commercial activities. In addition, the visa allows transit through the territory and airports.

Medical Insurance
Medical travel insurance must cover the costs of repatriation for medical reasons or in the event of death, as well as emergency medical care and/or treatment for the entire period of stay in the Schengen area. The minimum coverage must be at least EUR 30,000.

Residence for international remote work — the purpose of the visa, which allows you to live in Spain while working remotely.
Specific requirements for this visa include actual, continuous activity for at least one year for the company or companies for which the individual works; documentary evidence that the work can be performed remotely; and the existence of an employment or professional relationship for at least the last three months before applying.
Work restriction on 20% — the maximum percentage of work permitted for companies based in Spain, for the self-employed.
Specific requirements for obtaining this visa include actual, continuous operation for at least one year for the company or companies for which a person works; documentary confirmation that the work can be performed remotely; and the existence of an employment or professional relationship for at least the last three months prior to filing the application.

Required documents for Schengen visa to Spain
Each applicant completes and signs an official visa application form, filling in information in each section. If the applicant is a minor, one of the applicant's parents signs the application.
A valid, unexpired passport. Original and copy of the page or pages of the passport containing biometric data. The passport must be valid for at least 3 months. after the planned date of departure from the Schengen area and contain at least two blank pages.

Procedure
consular office in Dubai accepts visa applications from third-country nationals residing in the consular district, who travel to Spain as their sole or main destination. Visa applications must be submitted in person at the consular office or, where available, at a visa application centre. In either case, an appointment is required.

Visa for International Remote Workers (Digital Nomads)
It grants a residence permit for international remote work for a maximum period of one year anywhere in Spain. Non-EU citizens can apply for it to carry out remote work, exclusively online, for companies based outside Spain. In the case of self-employed professionals their remote work for companies based in Spain cannot exceed 20% of their total work activity.
When a remote worker is outside Spain, they must apply for a visa through Spanish embassies or consulates. If they wish to continue residing in Spain after the visa expires and still meet the requirements, they can apply for a residence permit for international remote workers from the Large Business and Strategic Groups Unit (UGE-CE) within 60 calendar days before its expiry. This permit is valid for a maximum of three years and can be renewed every two years.
If a remote worker is legally in Spain (for example on a tourist visa), he/she can directly apply for a three-year residence permit from UGE-CE.
Visa for International Remote Workers (Digital Nomads)
Applicants must be qualified professionals with a bachelor's or master's degree from a university, renowned professional school or business school, or at least three years of professional experience.
